If you are interested in submitting a research proposal, here is what to expect:
1. Submit Your Proposal with the Form Linked Below. You will be asked about your topic and to write a proposal abstract.
2. Your proposal will be reviewed within 2 weeks and we will contact you with approval or denial. In some cases we may reach out to request additional information.
3. If your proposal is approved, the Institute will send out an agreement to be signed electronically. Once the contract has been approved through our system work can begin.

Our primary audience is NOT the academic community, it is critical infrastructure sector members who can put the research to immediate use. We ask that you write your paper using non-academic language. Active voice is allowed, even preferred!

Our contract awards are typically $4,500.

The project timeline is 90 days once the contract is completed. We ask that you check in with a brief progress update monthly.

Once complete, submit your paper in Word for our review of clarity and language. There are a multitude of grammar editing tools available; please ensure spelling and grammar are correct before submitting.

Once the edits are complete, the IHS team will format the paper and publish it to our website. We will then issue payment for your work.
