Administrative Associate III (Temp)

Amy Lee serves as Administrative Associate III at the Sam Houston State University Institute for Homeland Security (IHS), where she oversees daily office operations and provides high-level administrative support to leadership, project managers, and staff. Her role includes coordinating meetings and travel, managing financial and procurement processes, maintaining confidential records and compliance documentation, and supporting event planning and logistics. She plays a key part in ensuring organizational efficiency, accuracy, and seamless program support across IHS initiatives.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and completed international study in Project Management, Service Operations, and Business Ethics at Middlesex University in London. She brings more than a decade of progressive experience in government and administrative operations, including nine years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Office of the General Counsel, where she supervised staff, supported legal and policy functions, managed budgets and records compliance, processed public information and subpoenas, and contributed to legislative tracking and policy implementation.
At IHS, Amy’s current focus areas include administrative process improvement, financial tracking and reporting, records management and compliance, executive support, and operational coordination for projects and events. Her background in legal support, program supervision, and complex administrative environments strengthens IHS’s ability to operate efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and organizational support.
