EXPERIENCE: Over 45 years of professional life in the private industry sectors. He has served in high pressure diverse decision-making roles from mid-management to the C-suite level and Board positions.


AREAS OF EXPERTISE: Master-level board certified hazard control management professional (retired CHCM).  Certified Quality Management System Lead Auditor (RABS-Q). Certified Firefighter. Certified Zenger-Miller Trainer Leadership Development. Specialized training in: Disaster Preparedness, Emergency Response, Crisis Management, International Security, Executive Protection and Critical Infrastructure Security and Resiliency. Guest Instructor, Texas A&M University’s Municipal/Industrial Fire Schools. Appointed by the Governor of Texas, Hon. Greg Abbott, in 2020-2023 to serve as a State Commissioner on the Texas Commission of Fire Protection. Inventor and holds a patent with the US Patent Office, Registration #5281067.


EDUCATION: Attended Sam Houston State University with studies in Agribusiness/Kinesiology. Continued pursuing education at San Jacinto College in Fire Protection, Emergency Management and Safety.


INDUSTRIES: Electric Utility. Healthcare. Transportation/Logistics. Oil and Gas Upstream. Serves on the SHSU Industrial Advisory Board within the Engineering & Technology Department. Served as a long-standing board member for the International Board for Certified Safety Managers (retired IBFCSM). Appointed on January 2026 to the Board of Directors for the International Supply Chain Protection Organization (ISCPO). Appointed recently to the Energy Security Council, March 2026.


PERSONAL: Married to his beautiful wife Stacey of 27 years. He has two adult children, son Christopher, who is married to Emily. Daughter Alexis, whose husband is Dylan Poindexter. He has two grandsons, Wesley, and Noah, and is hoping for more grandchildren down the road. Previously served on both the Huntsville and New Waverly, Texas, City Councils.
